Saxophone

I started out on piano in 1st grade, where my crowning achievement was playing Hot Cross Buns for my mom. Outside of that, I couldn’t stand it. In 4th grade though, we had the chance to pick an instrument at school, and I took a shot on the saxophone. I’ve been my thing ever since. From jazz to classical to pep band, it became my thing. By senior year, I was one of two alto sax players in the top band and regularly went to regional competitions.

Some of my favorite memories came from playing for people. I’d take requests and perform at weddings or elderly homes, often tying it into fundraisers for my non-profit. I even taught saxophone to 4th and 5th graders just starting out, which was honestly just as fun as playing myself.

Fun Fact: I performed a solo at Carnegie Hall!

I've converted my old saxophones into lamps!
