CERTIFIED FOODIE

" Yeah, I can make that"

"The fire alarm is just trying to tell me my food is fire"

"Seasoned with love... and enough garlic to kill a vampire"

"The pan was supposed to sizzle, not start a concert"

I have always found joy in exploring new cuisines. Growing up in the Bay Area, I definitely didn't have a scarcity of amazing spots to try.

Whenever I travel I dedicate a full day to a "Foodie Tour", bouncing between stalls and stores with a single goal: to taste as many different foods as I can as I explore the city.

In undergraduate, my best friend and I actually bonded over being the Harshest food critics imaginable, even though we were walking kitchen disasters. This is what inspired me to start my food account, where I documented my creations as I learned to cook. Since then, I have made pasta completely from scratch, baked my own cheese-stuffed garlic bread after churning butter by hand, and even survived the sensory baking challenge.

For the challenge, was blindfolded, taking instructions from a friend wearing noise-cancelling headphones, who was being "conveyed" the recipe by another friend who couldn’t speak. Against all odds, we ended up making Frosted Mocha cupcakes with chocolate ganache (and the worst mess imaginable).

Check out my food account below and some of the chaos from the baking challenge.
